"Perseverance" one in a series of watercolor painting. In this painting the multi colored no gender body represents the deep breathing as it circulates through out the body. Symbols in this painting are the sun for strength, the yin-yang head for balance. the Koi for perseverance. The sun symbolic for good mental health. Yoga has become an important part of my life as it has assist me in dealing with spine pain. As I participate in the yoga moves I am always aware of my body and how it reacts to the held poses. Afterward I meditate, mentally placing myself in a mental creative setting. These creative thoughts have inspired me to paint a series of watercolors.
Here you will find no mention of my accomplishments for they are the past, nor will you find mention of my goals as an artist/photographer for that is in the future. Instead you will see the results of time spent in the moment, a Zen Moment, where one becomes aware of one's surroundings, whether those surroundings are of nature or made by man. A moment of quiet thought that produces a feeling of well-being. A moment spent appreciating the simplistic beauty of a complex setting.
